Abstract submission
You are kindly invited to submit an abstract (max. one as first author) related to work that you wish to present during the NWSC.
All topics within winter-sport disciplines, including winter para sports, will be considered. Only those abstracts submitted online via the conference website will be considered for evaluation. Please note: Abstracts must be submitted no later than Monday the 9th of March 2026.
All abstract submissions will be evaluated by the scientific committee, who will select up to sixteen abstracts for oral presentation, and abstracts not accepted for oral presentation may be accepted for a poster presentation. You will be required to select your preferred method of presentation during the submission process, and all prospective presenters will be notified of the outcome via e-mail by Monday the 16th of March 2026.
Oral presentations will involve a 10-min slideshow presentation followed by 5 min discussion (further instructions on how to prepare and upload oral presentation content will be provided prior to the conference). Posters should be produced in A1 size using a portrait layout (594 mm wide x 841 mm long).
All accepted abstracts will be published online in the NWSC Book of Abstracts after the conference.
Applied Researcher Award
A prize of €700 will be awarded for the best oral presentation and €300 for best poster presentation in the field of applied research, as evaluated by the scientific committee.
